Blog Comparison

For the last couple of days we have been comparing our first blogs from 2017 to 2020. What I noticed was my 2018 blog had less information and didn't make sense. My 2020 blog post had more information,makes sense and punctuation.  

Angles

 This week we have been learning about different angles. Today we learnt about Obtuse,Acute and Right Angle. Obtuse angles is when it is greater than 90° but less that 180°. Acute angles is when it  is less than 90° and a right angles is  when it larger than 180° but is less than 360°.  

We went outside around our playground and measured the angles that we could see. 

What I found challenging was trying to figure out the degree and to place the protractor in the right position.

Cross country

 Yesterday we ran our cross country. We all piled up in the bus and headed out to the Cutlers farm.                When we got there we had to walk around about 200 meters and then set up the gazebo and lay down the tarp. As time went by it was time for the year eights to run. My teacher called them out and they came and lined up. She showed them the way around the track and then ready set GO off they went. I cheered every one on until I heard my year level get called out. We gathered around, stretched and got shown the track and off we went. We were running 3 km. I got tired around about half of the way but i didn't give up. I enjoyed hearing people cheer me on as I was crossing the finish line. After my race I had a drink of water and something to eat. 

lemonade stand

The second week of the holidays I invited my friend over. We did a lot of fun activities like, Hide N Seek, Eat yummy food, watch movies, play on the tramp and much more. The next day my friend wanted to make a lemonade stand I said that not many cars go down my road but we will give it a try. So we did, first we walked down the hill to the lemon tree and picked a hole lot of lemons, they were heavy. Then I thought we should move outside to make the juice so the bees will smell the lemons and come and hang out with us and they did.While my friend was cutting the lemons I was squeezing the lemon juice into jugs. Next it was time to add the sugar we added a lot to get that sweet but sour taste and then mixed it and we had a little taste test and...it was AMAZING!!.Then it was time to put all the staff on the side of the road and get started. We grabbed a table and chairs, a sign that said lemon juice for free, cups and jugs. we also had a tip cup if they wanted to give us some money. After a long time waiting finally cars started to drive past but none of them stopped an-till my dads friend came around. He said I will give you some tips but he didn't feel like some lemonade. We were fine with that we were just glad that someone came to have a look. We packed up and gave my family some lemon juice they Loved it. My dad gave me and my friend 4$ each for how yum the juice was. We looked at each other and called it a day.

 In class every week we have been doing a task ''word of the week'' it is a fun activity that helps us learn about the different words. This my words of the week.

Thinkers key

This week in our contracts we have been doing thinkers key. We have been doing this every week. Thinkers key hast to be my favourite task. Every week is a different task, sometimes there is A-Z chart or its at lest three answers.

How do we clean up the ocean?
I was thinking of how to clean up the ocean and then I thought of a big net with small holes to get the water out but not the rubbish. Maybe the small pieces of rubbish will come out but hopefully not to much.
